Hello Future Client, my name is Mariah Ulrich! I am a freelance illustrator living in beautiful Portland Oregon. Being in this lush environment with both natural and urban elements living side by side makes me feel like I’m living in a city inside a garden. Which provides me with plenty of inspiration to create work that I will design for you to love!
I am proficient in a wide variety of different media in both the traditional and digital fields. I learned these different techniques to improve my skills as an illustrator, and expand my abilities to provide for my clientele. However right now I’m particularly fond of using digital media with layers of watercolor to create depth and texture. I can use this combination of media to create a variety of effects, as well as work quickly. So I see it as an ideal medium to help me create successful projects for my clients.

Commission
For An individual Commissioner
To begin with I’ll be giving you a general idea of my price ranges for most of the types of projects I’ve done for single patrons. This is to help give you a clearer idea of what you should expect the cost of your project to be.
Price Examples
If your interested in requesting a commission from me then please fill out the application bellow. I will review your application and asses the cost of your project. I should reply in less than 2 business day’s with a quote for the piece, and an estimate on the time frame needed to complete it.
Payment will always be though PayPal.
For A Group Or Business
To all start-up companies, publishers, or what have you, welcome! My goal is to make your experience working with me as comfortable as possible, and hopefully a little fun too. Unlike my individual commissions I don’t have any solid price points for group projects since these types of enterprises tend to have a lot more at stake, as well as being far more complex. So you will need to forgive my lack of guidance.
If your interested in using my artistic assistance then please fill out the application bellow. I will review your application and asses the cost of your project. You should expect a reply in less than 2 business day’s with a quote for the projrct, and an estimate on the time frame needed to complete it.
Payment method will be discussed after the application is reviewed.
What To Do Once I’ve Accepted Your Request
Step 1. Payment
Before I will add your project to my queue, I must fist receive payment. (preferably through PayPal) However if your commission is over 100$ I will accept payment in sections, but it must be requested after I send you your easement for the commission.
Step 2. W.I.P (Work In Progress)
Once I get to your commission I will send you a notification that I’ve started working on it. Then once I complete my first rough draft I’ll send you a copy, and ask if there is anything you’d like me to alter. After that I will take your thoughts into account and work till completion.
Step 3. It’s All Done!
The project has been completed! I’ll send you all the completed illustrations in the formats that you request. However I would appreciate a short testimonial from you about how you felt commissioning me, and what you think of the final product. I’d also appreciate it if you could include a photo of yourself, but if you don’t feel comfortable with sending me your picture then an icon that represents you or your company is fine too. Hopefully you will be excited to work with me again in the future!
